Inner City DBT Skills Group
Location
Level 4, The O’Brien Centre, 390 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst
About Us
The Inner City Health Program (ICHP) at St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst runs a coping skills group based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
DBT is an evidence based psychological therapy for people with pervasive emotion dysregulation and associated problem behaviours, including suicidality and self-harm.
This skills group is one component of a person’s overall mental health treatment.
Group participation involves attendance at weekly, 2.5hr group sessions for 16 weeks. Both regular attendance, and motivation to undergo treatment for problematic behaviours, are important.
