St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Archives

St Vincent’s Archives collects and preserves official records and artefacts that contribute to the history of our facilities. Our team manages the collections for St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, Sacred Heart Health Service, St Joseph’s Hospital Auburn, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney, St Vincent’s Clinic and Mater Hospital Sydney.   

Highlights of the collections include administrative records, publications, photographs and memorabilia from 1862 to current.

The Archives Department is open Monday to Thursday and can be contacted by phone on (02) 8382 2105 or by email. Visits can be organised by appointment only.

Please note that medical records post 1956 are kept for 15 years after a patient’s last presentation to St Vincent’s.
