X7N is a 33 bed medical-surgical unit with a dedicated 6 bed acute stroke unit that allows close observation and cardiac monitoring to patients following a stroke. Medical patients often present for treatment of deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, exacerbations of Guillain–Barré syndrome or myasthenia gravis. Surgical cases include cranial and spinal surgery, transsphenoidal pituitary tumour resections, amputations, vascular bypass surgery, aneurysm repairs and insertion of deep brain stimulators.
