Speakers: The course consists of didactic presentations, interactive discussions, case studies and scenarios. Key topics: On completion of this study day, it is expected that participants will be able to: - Examine GIT and colorectal conditions which require surgery or other hospital intervention - Explore complications of the GI tract - Discuss pancreatic cancer and common treatment options - Describe principles of stoma care and troubleshooting strategies - Discuss TPN and associated patient care requirements, and the concept of re-feeding syndrome Who should attend: This workshop is designed for Registered and Enrolled Nurses caring for patients in the gastrointestinal and colorectal specialty.
