Our focus is to empower you with the knowledge and skills necessary for the effective assessment and symptom management of patients at the end of life. The course will guide you through the management of complex symptoms experienced by these patients, offering insights into the complexities of their needs. Speakers: Palliative Care Staff Specialist/NP/CNC/CNS/SW Key topics: Describe principle underpinning the delivery of palliative care. Identify approaches to assessing common palliative care needs. Identify strategies for engaging in conversations with patients and their families in care planning and for referring them to appropriate services Reflect on common issues related to grief and loss Develop an awareness of self-caring and s1:1pporting other health professionals when working with patients with a life limiting illness and their carers.
