St Vincent’s Shines at Mardi Gras 2025

St Vincent's Sydney proudly took part in the 2025 Mardi Gras Parade, celebrating diversity, inclusion and the power of community.

 

We were impossible to miss, with our vibrant ‘Care Bear’ dancers marching (dancing!) alongside the spectacular hot pink CARE float. As we paraded up Oxford Street, we were met with cheers from tens of thousands of supporters, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and solidarity.

More than just a celebration, St Vincent’s participation was a powerful statement of support for our colleagues, patients, clients, friends, and families who continue to advocate for equality and respect for all people.

While Mardi Gras is a night of colour, love, and pride, it also serves as a reminder that the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights is far from over. At St Vincent’s, we are committed to fostering a safe, welcoming environment where every person - regardless of gender or sexuality -receives the care they need with dignity and respect. We are equally dedicated to ensuring that our people can bring their whole selves to work every day, without fear or hesitation.

In a time when LGBTQIA+ rights are facing challenges around the world, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. St Vincent’s is, and will always be, a safe haven for all.
