If you are suffering from Essential Tremor, Parkinson’s disease or dystonia and would like to know whether you may be suitable for treatment with focussed ultrasound, you can be referred from your GP or specialist for assessment.
Our assessment process includes:
- Confirmation of the nature of your movement disorder and the impact it has on your quality of life.
- Your general health and any medications you are on.
- Specialised imaging with MRI and CT – which will be performed at St Vincent’s Public Hospital.
Our clinical assessment team includes a movement disorder neurologist and neurosurgeon as well as our movement disorder nurse who will coordinate all aspects of your assessment from the time we receive your referral.
