Cancer Services

St Vincent's is committed to ensuring that all patients and their families have the best available services to meet their clinical, emotional and spiritual needs. The St Vincent's Campus Cancer Plan provides an outline of the strategic direction for St Vincent's Cancer Services for the next five years, to further improve cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

The Cancer Services team are a multi-disciplinary team of specialists who are experts in treating and supporting patients with cancer.

Our team includes:

Our team treats a wide range of cancers and people in a variety of situations including:

  • Curative treatments that aim to eliminate cancer permanently
  • Preventive treatments to reduce the chance of cancer returning
  • Symptomatic treatments to keep you feeling as well as possible
  • Genetic counselling and gene testing

Through continuous research, education and training, St Vincent's is at the forefront of the delivery of cancer care. Our multi-disciplinary teams extend across the following cancer services:

Treatment delivery at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre

The Kinghorn Cancer Centre provides a  welcoming environment where patients can receive their cancer care and associated support in a 'non-hospital' atmosphere. As well as our state-of-the-art facilities, patients have access to our Wellness Centre which supports our commitment to providing a holistic approach to treatment and ensuring that patients and carers are well supported throughout their treatment plan and beyond.


Review of cancer treatment in NSW public health facilities.

​​An audit is being undertaken to review care provided to patients of NSW public health services who received cancer treatment since January 2012.
