Who can use DASAS?
The Drug & Alcohol Specialist Advisory Service is a free telephone service for doctors, nurses, and other health professionals from any part of NSW and ACT where local support is unavailable.
Specialist medical consultants are on-call 24 hours to provide advice on diagnosis and management of patients.
ADIS qualified clinicians will advise on drug effects and withdrawal symptoms, referral options, therapeutic and counselling techniques.
DASAS is especially designed to support regional and rural areas in NSW, but is available to any health professional.
When is DASAS available?

What about pharmacotherapy issues if you are a health professional?
DASAS specialists/ADIS clinicians can provide information about pharmacotherapies and their management to health professionals.

You can call the Opioid Treatment Line (OTL), another line funded by NSW Health, provides information and referrals relating to methadone, buprenorphine and suboxone.
